I actually think it would be worth it to go after a guy like him. He looks like he can be defensively responsible, plays a good 5v5 game, doesn't take a bunch of penalties. Doesn't look like he PK's but that's probably okay. I bet they could have him for less than $2M, probably fairly close to $1M.

I’m excited to see this new Bottom 9 while also being a little nervous at the same time. After all we did just bring in 4 new forwards but that will be a sturdy Bottom 6, especially with a guy like Heinen.

I’m interested to see where they put Drouin. Will they opt for a pure scoring line at 1 or do they move him to 3rd with a back checker like Cogs to balance out Drouin’s liabilities? Heinen would be a solid pickup. Bednar is going to have plenty of line combos to play around with.

Even if Drouin doesn’t do well on the top line, he can still be solid 3rd liner if he stays healthy. He would be an absolute steal at below 1 mil if he is, especially before the cap rises significantly.
