Don't get me wrong Brodie has some worth, but he's not fetching Toews, let alone him and O'Connor. Flyers trade is kind of an L for us, I'd peg Nylander worth more then enough for both Trav and Laughton.

Nylander > Konecny+Laughton, Treliving should be fired ASAP if he made that trade.

I hear ya. My thoughts are that the avs won’t be able to resign toews next year and might be able to retain Brodie. Tossed in a first to shore up the deal and added O’Connor as some insurance.

As for Nylander I would rather add 2 veteran roster players with grit than see him walk for prospects or picks.

Thanks for your comment ! GLG

Its an L for both teams. Flyers aren't contending and the likelihood of Nylander resigning is >1%. Leafs on the other hand could easily get more value from a team that needs that "final piece" to go for a cup run.

I don’t think he cares where he goes as long as he gets paid and treated like the superstar he truly is.

Flyers don't have the money given the cap hell Fletcher put us in and we still need to resign three of our big RFAs, so even if he doesn't care about locale Philly isn't it because they aren't in a spot to spit money at him.

I promise you the Avs wouldn’t even think about considering this trade. What benefit does it give them? A much worse defender with a higher cap hit and a pick that helps them in 5 years? Hard no
