I think that’s likely a “no” from the Sabres

We (most likely) “go big” and get a guy like Hellebuyck,
or we stick with the combo of our young guys & see how it goes

Also (highly) doubt Swayman would sign for that little
Try doubling that Cap hit

Complete nonsense trade from bostons perspective. Barely addressed a need and creates more problems than it’s worth. How about lilegren and a first and we’ll add Carlo. But you’re not getting swayman and you’re not getting a first

Boston blocks Treliving's number after this call..... No one is going to help Toronto get out of the jam they just put themselves in.

Please tell me who is going to score besides Pasta and Marchy. You don’t think this helps Boston as much?

There's no cap space dude..... I'm the president of the let's trade Grzelcyk fan club, but moving Swayman doesnt alleviate any cap space. Nylander is gross, and I like Timmins - so don't get me wrong it's moderately a fair trade in essence (if Boston and Nylander can agree on an extension), but cap-wise it's just impossible.

Boston totally depends on what happens with Bergeron and Krejci. But last year remember they paced the league, or nearly in offense, and lost essentially hall and not much else offensively. Bertuzzi and orlov were deadline acquisitions.

I say this as someone who hates the bruins for the record.

Yeah I mean the more I think about the proposed trade above, there is a way to make it make sense for the Bruins cap wise and it's not a bad trade. But to your point, whether or not Bergeron comes back is pretty much the sole dictation on whether they make a move like this and go for it, or just try to stay moderately competitive for a wildcard spot. Krejci is done. But Bergeron coming back could mean "lets get more pieces and give it a go", and if he hangs them up its a big wind out of the sail

I think it’s fair and would help them but if the cap doesn’t work then it doesn’t work

Did Krejci (or is it Krecji, I always forget the letter order), say he is done? On the ice he played way better than I expected after the one year hiatus.

I think it's kind of public knowledge here that the only option is for him to come in around Christmas, and even that is a reach..... If he announces he's coming back it will be a SHOCK, and solely because of Lucic (who he wont even play with)

I'm not around there so very curious about both comments:

Why wait until Christmas? Injury? Energy for a full season?

What's the Lucic part? Are they just close friends?

Krejci's always been a bit of an odd duck. While I appreciate his loyalty, in recent years he's been being more public with his pouting of being in Bergeron's shadow. Last summer, part of the recruitment process to get him to come back was to promise he would play with Pastrnak.... He's had lingering injuries and although both him and Bergeron have said they will make their decisions rather quickly, there's not a lot of belief in that being the case. Two off seasons ago, Krejci retired and then ended up going home to Czech and playing over there. There were rumors that he would come back to Boston at Christmas, but never did. I think Krejci will be done, and Bergeron will be back.

Bergeron, Krejci, and Marchand are the only 3 remaining Bruins who were here when Lucic was here, and Lucic was the most lovable teammate/Boston athlete in the city for a number of years. Lucic has always wanted to finish his career in Boston, and this is just speculation but I think a lot of wind would be taken out of the sails of bringing Lucic back if Bergeron and/or Krejci were to hang them up. Sort of defeats the whole purpose.
