Reasoning here, at least in my opinion:

PHI: Multi-year rebuild, using cap space to take on a poor contract in Murray. Allows Hart a chance to make a cup run under McDavid.
TOR: Sheds cap weight in moving Murray with no retention, uses their upcoming first as bait. This also assumes Muzzin goes on LTIR, which makes them cap compliant.
EDM: Finally get a star goaltender in Hart, at the price of Broberg + 1st + 3rd. I guess PHI could add if it's too much return but I think it's fair tbh.

Hart is not even close to a star goalie and would be become the back up on Edmonton lol hart hasn’t been good since his rookie season and has only got worse or been below average

Hart has played behind a terrible Flyers defense, which is led by Ristolainen of all people. Hart is not a backup in EDM lol

Ok well this trade doesn’t make sense for Edmonton at all and skinner is better than hart
