Teams have proven - which the maple leafs do not seem to understand - is it isn't about star power and scoring on lines 1-4 - you need depth but you need role player depth/ These free agents do nothing for me. Get more physical at least. I would take Nemec over foote any day of the week and would love to see Casey and Nemec playing significantly next year. Want to do something bold? Trade away Palat before it is too late unless it already is. He is a situational scorer as a byproduct of the lines he was on and the ice time he was given. Would much rather have the likes of a "Kane" - an aging scorer on a 1-2 year deal then 4 years of Palat. Thats a handcuff deal.
