If all else fails, Plekanec could fill in the 2C this year until Barzal proves it is his. Hopefully last year was just a down year and he can rebound playing with some young blood.

I don't personally. As a Hab fan, I can live with Pleks bad year. He normally a 40-60 point guy, that plays in all situations, and every zone. I hate the cap hit but he has one year left on it and I would take a bet he has a better year next year.

I haven't watched/seen Kulemin in a long time though, but last i had heard was he was a smoldering tire fire for the most part. I loved his game when he was with the Leafs tho.

I wouldn't call him a tire fire. He's a guy who does very little outside of big contributions to the PK. But he's waaay over paid for that job. I don't blame you for turning this offer down. OP, maybe a 2nd rounder heading MTL's way?

If the 2nd is involved then I would. I realize that the Habs need to start drafting to be ready for the eventual rebuild and a 2nd helps out. So i would accept
