Bergeron could easily become a 30 goal scorer which is what DeBrincat is without Kane and that way Detroit keeps the 1st.

DeBrincat is a 40 goal scorer, Berggren is a largely unproven prospect so no they are not equal in value.

I also heard Zadina could easily be a 30 goal scorer. How has that worked out? Berggren is unproven and is not equal value to Debrincat. He is good and could become a 50-60 point winger but no way do Red wings fans really think Berggren has equal value to Debrincat.

He plays a harder game. Is younger. Cheaper. And has high upside. He might never reach it, but Detroit has absolutely no reason to give up Berggren. If you're so adamant that he's unproven and not equal value, why do you want him in the deal?

Well Berggren came up part way through the season and put up 15 while playing on a bad team.

I have never said Zadina will score 30 goals and was pissed when that F****** Baffoon Holland picked Zadina instead of Hughes.

I don't think nor have ever said Berggren is better than Debrincat. I don't think Detroit should trade Berggren at all and adding 1st and a 2nd is more than Detroit can spend. Now if that means DeBrincat doesn't come to Detroit so be it. Detroit isn't even a playoff team yet so why trade multiple assets for a single player. Adding DeBrincat doesn't make Detroit a playoff team. Especially when giving up a 1st, a 2nd along with Berggren.

I never said I wanted him. All I'm saying is that I think some Detroit fans are overvaluing him. But yes, obviously he'd be a nice asset in a Debrincat trade, but saying he has equal value is simply untrue.

Fair enough. I've come to terms he won't be here long term so we'll see what the return is. But for Berggren, it's also worth noting he's about to turn 23, so I wonder how much higher his ceiling actually is. Cheers.

Not without Kane

I would be willing to bet that he scores at least 40 goals in 2 of the next 3 seasons if he stays healthy.

Berggren was injured for a bit the year he was drafted so Detroit had him play another season in The SHL. That season he had 45 points in 49 games. Then he had 64 points in 70 games in the AHL and he had 7 points in 7 games before being called up to Detroit. So it has taken him a bit longer to get to the NHL but he has been successful at every stop on his way to the NHL

Even though I disagree, that is totally plausible. Time will tell
