According to Servalli there was a rumored trade between San Jose and Vancouver in which Myers and Labanc were involved. I wonder if part of the reason the trade has yet to happen includes the pending Karlsson trade. Also, I wonder if the Sharks are reluctant to do this trade because of the September 1st signing bonus owed to Myers. Nonetheless, I think there is still considerable incentive for the Canucks to do this trade despite a glut of wingers, largely because of the news that Pearson could be ready for training camp. If Pearson is ready to go the Canucks will be hard pressed against the cap unless they can create some cap space via trades such as this one.
