How do you even know they make the playoffs without Panarin lol? What offensive player is gonna carry the team if Panarin is gone?

How about signing another top 6 winger with the money left over from trading him? Trading for a middle 6 winger whose gameplay suits the playoffs. The opportunities are endless. Plus it’d force the team to learn to be more than a 1 trick pony and actually improve overall instead of just relying on the powerplay.

This team doesn’t even make the playoffs in my opinion. Panarin deal sucks but he still puts up 90-100 points that’s not being made up by Vatrano. Also giving Miller 6x6.150 completely eliminates the need to get rid of Panarin. Move his desk to spread the money out and bring in more depth and middle six talent. Miller gets 3x3.5M max in my opinion.

I get that he was a disappointment in the playoffs (he certainly wasn't the only one), and he makes too much per year, but calling him dead weight is kind of ridiculous. For better or worse he will remain a Ranger.

For worse he will remain a Ranger. And no other in the Rangers line plays such a protected role. And making 11.6 m and refuse to play with certain players is not being a team player. I hope lavy has the guts to bench this due.

He’s literally top 5 in points among ALL players in the past 5 years lol

There’s a case you can argue about half the rangers lineup not being good…. How about Mika? Only scored goals on powerplays….how about Kreider? Only scores tips or deflections and super streaky

Yeah those two are also the issue but they are making half and 8.5 m. And can play defence.
