Calgary has $2.4m cap right now. And now they’re retaining on both players plus taking on $5m of Pageau and cap dump Clutterbuck?

I doubt it works

Flames don't consider that and Lindholm would be your 1C hands down. He is far better than Horvat

Part of my thinking was that this could be a move for them toward addressing the fact that they currently have so few forwards under contract.

Yea but their problem is tricky because they have no cap. And I’m not a Flames fan so i dont know if someone will definitely be moved or whatnot

I believe one of the big things with them this off-season is their new GM not wanting to go into the season with guys in their walk year, so either they agree to sign extensions or he’ll look to trade them - now whether or not *my* proposed deal is at all realistic is another subject entirely - - LOL!

Hahaha agreed. It’s always hard to propose a trade while not really knowing another teams cap or roster and whatnot
