I get a feeling an Erik Karlsson to Pittsburgh is going to end up happening this summer. It really seems like our off-season has been on hold since hearing Dubas having lots of interest in EK and it seems like EK wants to play for the Penguins. And if he only wants to be a Penguin and completely wants out of San Jose, then there’d be nothing Grier could do except facilitate a trade and accept a bare minimum for EK.

So far this is a lineup we’d have to be forced to play without anymore changes. Although one of Ned and DeSmith and be in the lineup.

If D/G can perform - I think this team squeezes into WC2 spot. Ultimately all comes down to Sid/Geno. Accari is the best player in that bottom 6 btw, switch him and Elller. Wonder if Dubas dumps Grandlund and tries to sign Kane for a year

It's difficult to be happy with this team as is in my opinion. There's always the chance that Crosby/Malkin stay healthy and just carry them into the WC2 - but I don't see them being any better than that.
