Was prepared for a terrible and delusional Gibson trade and terrible contracts for Terry. They tend to be but this was alright ngl. 4 2nd rounders are a steep price but not all too terrible. Think it’s a no from Buffalo but that they will continue talking and get a similar deal over the line.

It’s close enough in the right value to not argue about it though

The big question to be answered is:
Do the Sabres want Gibson, or are they comfortable with what they’ve got currently?

They need a veteran goaltender to relieve the pressure from Devon Levi so he has time to grow. Gibson is likely the best option.

That’s arguable
And even if we do think we need a Vet,
Gibson has been pretty crappy for a while now

6.4 mill for 4 more years is too much. Get it down to 5 mill, then maybe.
