Again, you managed to type an essay without answering my question…. How come you said the leafs have no cap troubles anymore because they put Murray on ir. That would be the only reason that they would not have to make a trade like I did in this ACGM. If your hope wasn’t that Murray was going to return, then you would recognize that there is real concern for the leafs cap situatuon right now, and they must make a trade like this. If the leafs were to have one injury, suspension, literally anything all season long, they would be in for a panic trade in which they would have zero leverage or they would be in for a massive fine. Those are the facts. If you’re gonna sit there and back track what you were saying in the beginning and change your opinion to if Murray is hurt long term or not, then do me a favour and say ‘you were right, I was wrong, the leafs must make a trade like this’. Again, i know you’re new to the app if there’s any other questions I can help answer for you feel free to ask since you refuse to do your homework.
What I have been saying, and very clearly laid out in the paragraph you absolutely didn't read, is that right now, with all the information we currently have. The leafs will start the season cap compliant with a 20 man roster. That's what I am said, have continued to say and am saying again now.
We don't know Murray's situation, we only know he's out indefinitely. Anything beyond that fact is pure speculation. Literally everything you keep saying is pure speculation. Murray being out indefinitely and going on LTIR is a fact right now. It's not speculation.
Any injury, suspension or whatever else you want to say could happen is speculation. And you seem to have a problem with speculation despite peddling it with viscous anger.
What happens if Murray comes back? Yeah they may have to make a trade, depending on the situation at the time. I can't predict the future, neither can you, so how about let's just not pretend to. Because all you are doing is getting mad because no one is agree with your speculation.
Also speaking of facts, if you run a 20 man roster and someone gets hurt, you do get emergency injury replacements that don't count against the cap. There are some caveats to that which pose problems, like if a guy is hurt in warmups, then you play a man short. I think it may be the same if it happens before a game is played in general. Meaning a guy tweeks a muscle at practice you have to play a man short and then get a free call up. All of this information is pretty easy to find.
And as I have mentioned and also provided a nice little link laying or all out for how the leafs and other teams started the season last year, this has been done. Specifically by the team you are adamant has to make a bad trade because they are not cap compliant despite 100% being that.
Do some homework man.
There is not back tracking here, just re-explaining what the actual facts are. Stop speculating, stop lashing out and please for the sake of your own image, just do some googling, it's not hard.
Oh and one last thing, I haven't ever in any of this ridiculous conversation, said that I know what's going on with Murray, I just keep saying the same thing. Murray is out indefinitely. To go on LTIR, the team, the player and the league all have to agree it's warranted. They are far more strict about this after Chicago and Tampa used LTIR as a loophole to go way over the cap with Kucherov and Kane remaining "injured" until the playoffs. If Murray is indeed healthy, he wouldn't be on LTIR, he wants to play. I hope get regains his health and I hope comes back better than ever. He's a great person and a terrific goalie when healthy. I hope he gets back there. But to comment further is pure speculation and I am not going to do that. Haven't yet and won't moving forward.
SINCE I AM SURE YOU DIDN'T READ THIS, PLEASE GO BACK AND READ THIS IN ITS ENTIRETY.
