Price on the San Jose trade is a bit too steep, would do it if one of the firsts became a second, but then the Barabonov extension might be tough to manage. Easy no on the Montreal trade. I do love this team though, with Vesey in for Phil.

Since they would be getting rid of Goodrows contract they would have to pay for that so basically a first for Barabanov and then a first to take on Goodrows contract
What for the MTL trade what’s no??

I love RHP as a player but can’t sell that low on Laffy right now. The Barabonov extension could be managed if Trouba gets moved, but it could get messy with Lindgren and Kakko extensions

Ahhhh that’s what’s no with the MTL deal okay then me personally I think RHP is the better player but that take could age poorly and yes the extension would be tricky but hopefully they would be able to get it done under the cap

As a habs fan, we could not refused this trade because of the unfullfield Laff potential. As of right now it is a big underpayment to get a 22 years old 1st overall pick.

That being said, and I will sound delusional for most people but, I do think that the chances are not that slim that RHP will have a better career than Laffy and we lose this trade 5 years from now.

Anyway, that trade would never happen because anybody would do it without blinking an eye and is very unfair right now for NYR valuewise. If this was the cost to get Laff l, he would be gone already ny now and since a long time ago...

Already said but I also think RHP will be and is the better player and I know I’m very much under valuing Ladd but MTL are rebuilding so I don’t think they would want to give up too too much in this deal

Another cup run? Nah, closer to another rebuild than a cup run. And if you value Laffy that little better to keep him and try to grow him to increase value.

I don’t value him that little just like I said MTL is rebuilding so they probably don’t want to give up much and RHO is a goodbye player on a cheap deal so yeah

So then I don't see why move him at all? But I mean your amg so but if not forced to move someone and that moved doesn't reach plug a hole then I just rather not. grin
