The Sharks/Kraken trade looks ok. Not sure about the Canucks trade or why they'd give up a second.

It's a cap dump + a cost effective defender with term, but it's true that VAN doesn't need to be a part of it. The only reason is if SJS is in Driedger's M-NTC and he would rather be a backup than an AHL goalie. SJS wouldn't mind the pick and SEA wouldn't have to look for a replacement.
