Dubas is only doing that deal if it is part of acquiring Karlsson. On its own merits, it's atrocious value for PIT.

Friedman said they're trying to get it done today as he predicted a few days ago. I do think this is the last chance Grier will have to move Karlsson before the season starts. Outside of a potential team losing a quality right defenseman in training camp, I can't see there being any more interest until conditions change later on.

I think this offseason has had less than 50% player trades compared to cap era averages. It would be nice for us fans to have something to analyze lol.
