Orlov and Kane trade with CBJ

Description
A little explanation
---
Washington has a lot of spots to fill with not a ton of space. They replace Orlov with a top 4 D who has some upside and clear out what probably amounts to like 6M in cap space bc McCabe has such a great contract (2 more years left at 1.6M). Orlov gives the Sabres some flexibility, he can play top pair with Risto on the left or 2nd pair on the right. Some conditional picks could make this happen, but I see a real fit here.
---
Buying out Hartnell makes me think that CBJ is in win now mode. Milano has been a bit underwhelming but I like him as a player. Kane can put up 30G on a good Columbus team that if they made this deal would be absolutely stacked.
---
Back to Orlov, depending on Guhle's readiness. If he isn't ready then roll with/

Orlov- Risto
Beaulieu- Bogo
Antipin- Fedun

Is that CBJ trade real? Buff is getting absolutely screwed in that deal, Milano can't crack the NHL roster, regardless of how you feel about Kane that's nuts

Milano is younger and cost controlled and the Sabres can't re-sign Kane. Think about contract status before you speak Youngblood

Im a MN fan so I don't give a **** about either team but even if they can't resign Kane that doesn't mean you can't get a pick and an actual good prospect for him, not someone like milano. I think that package could easily bring back a guy like Ryan Murray or from CBJ. You seriously are just completely misjudging the value of your own players in that trade. And then overvaluing them in the caps trade which makes it even more confusing.

The Washington deal isn't bad. You upgrade and the free up cap space, but I think the Caps would want more.

Milano hasn't done anything in the NHL. His points in the AHL are average so far. He's got potential, but Fasching doesn't look any worse. Ask for more ...

I also think you're misreading the Hartnel buyout. They want to add a center like Duchese, Nugent-Hopkins, Bozak, etc. They might be clearing room to trade for an RFA, like Tylar Johnson or Galchenyuk, or a lesser RFA as well.
