I don't think there is any chance Desmith starts with the Habs unless Allen is injured to start the year and Desmith is just the backup during that time. I think he'll either be traded for a late pick or picked up on waivers. Nothing crazy, like a 5th/6th OR be waived and picked up for free. He's too good to clear waivers and frankly not necessarily the player the Habs would want tandeming in Laval with Dobes/Primeau, etc

All will be sent through waivers. Simply no space for them in the lineup. I imagine Primeau is an easy claim. Lindstrom potentially also, if not Laval also. Wideman is destined to clear and play in Laval this final year.
