Doesn't make any sense to play him on the 3rd line with Domi or Knies. Both are complete opposite players to Kampf pairing them would just negative Kampf's defensive ability and Knies/Domi's offensive ability.

Same goes for Robertson. So unless you see a 3rd line of Kampf/Jarnkrok/ Lafferty then Domi/Knies on the 4th line there isn't a logical way to fit Kampf on the 3rd line. I think the Leafs know this given he's always been on the 4th line come the playoffs.

Other values aside, zero interest in moving Holmberg based off potential and cap hit

Then we can agree it probably addresses zero needs for either team

Or we can say that since both teams fans feel it favours the other that its likely a fair deal.

Not sure how you think it doesn't fit needs.

Calgary had fewer goals than Ottawa and Vancouver last year. They could benefit from more scoring, Nylander brings that. Holmberg is also a young bottom 6 forward with good potential as a bottom 6 guy which is historically the type of players Calgary loves to have and they have also been good at taking those potential 3rd line centers and turning them into 2nd line guys.

Toronto needs a partner for Rielly who can help him be more free offensively, Tanev can do that. Leafs could also use some ELCs in their bottom 6 and they pickup 2 here.

I have to say over all it might be fair value, but no way in hell the Flames move Pelletier and Coronato, no way.

domi belongs in the top 6. theres nothing wrong w running knies-kampf-jarnkrok as ur third line.
