I'm talking more recent history here, over the last 3 playoffs he's objectively been the best of the core 4. As for him leaving it's not necessarily a forgone conclusion but even if it is, the Leafs are in win now mode, you keep him and go for it. If they were rebuilding yeah trade him but they're not which is what really forms my opinion about this trade. I don't think trading a 40 goal guy at a really good cap hit and other decent assets for depth helps them win regardless of what the value is

I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree
Trading Nylander can definitely get u guys pieces to help moving forward though
But u wouldn’t get all this for him anyways,
so i guess it doesn’t really matter

As I said above which you ignored, none of the pieces Toronto is getting back here are playoff pieces lmfao. They can do much better.

A third line forward, one of the biggest busts of the last decade, and a guy that has a shot to be a good #4 defenceman, maybe a #3… for a top playdriving forward + replacement players for the guys you’re losing?

You’re smoking rocks if you think New York doesn’t win this deal. Stop overrating your favourite teams players just cause they’re on your favourite team.

yeah ok

And things like this are why you don't pay any attention to what theScore has to say.

True. TheScore is only good for keeping up with actual game scores.
