I mean this comment alone is why Kane is 100% not going to EDM. He’s gonna have to bank on his own play for a playoff team. And Patrick Kane is gonna go to the team with the lowest expectation and highest pay.

Kane isn't back until mid-season, correct? So his salary will be prorated and the team will have accrued some cap space by then... I don't think it's a good idea to try to run a 20-man roster mid-season.

The pairings yesterday were
Nurse - Bouchard
Ekholm - Broberg
Kulak - Ceci

It'll be interesting to see if they play them that way into the season.
