Taking the median points per player, this is a total of 970 points. That is anywhere from 323-970 goals. Since most goals have 2 assists, it's safe to estimate around 400-450 goals. That obliterates the Rangers all-time highest scoring season and would align them with peak Gretzky era Oilers.

But again this is skewed since some players will have 0 points. Most players will have under 10 goals (defenseman) or even 0 goals. Do you really think Shesterkin and Quick will combine for 20 points? Or the possible call-ups I put in. Blidh doesn't get a game is my guess, so there goes another 10 points. So again this is why this is an estimate post. It is what I believe each player is capable of and the results are not drastically different from last season (when it comes to the placement of each player). Some players replace others in this ranking (form last season).

It says X-X points, not X-X goals. I also didn't count the goalies at all. The expected point totals are 25-30% too high.

For reference, the Rangers players had a combined 743 points last season. They had 4 60+ point players but you somehow think they'll have 7 this season.

So you have inflated your equation firstly if you believe that 7 players will score 60 points. Or then perhaps your eyesight is just bad.

No. YOU are estimating 7 players over 60 points. YOU put 7 players in the 60+ point range. Then YOU made another post showing 7 players that YOU think will get over 60. The only thing IVE done, was point out how massively over inflated YOUR estimates are.
