You don't understand Leafs are almost 3 millions over the cap that even with Murray and Muzzin on LTIR.

So the solution is to trade our best defensive player for nothing?

They traded Marleau for nothing they have to trade something away not named Matthews Marner Nylander Tavares

Marleau was old, and his contract was a hinderance. Brodie provides some of the best defensive play in the NHL.

There are still plenty of ways to imrpove the team, this does the opposite.

Tell me why I'm not smart when Kent Hughes did the same move last year Monahan last month Petry this week DeSmith. He got a 1st a 2nd a 3rd for those three trades. Toronto are stuck at the Cap. Evans is a good player but he's not Suzuki.

Brodie is actually worth his salary, not Monahan, Pearson and Petry. Also all 3 players we traded for were not in their teams plan anymore... hence why your trade is not a smart one.

.24 point per game is too much for a 5 million dollars defenseman. He used to be in .5 per games. He's not worth 5 millions. Regardless the Leafs are three millions over the cap this with Murray and Muzzin on LTIR. They have to find a way to shed salary and in my opinion it's by trading Brodie.

Using points for one of the best defensive Dman in the league... is not smart.

They litterally can do nothing and run with a 20 players formation by sending Timmins in the AHL

I see trouble this way but who knows. I think they'll do a trade.
