I doubt Petey signs for 10.5 especially if he has another 100 point season.

The Caps don't have the extra cap to take on Garland but regardless of that they have no incentive to move TvR, especially for another highly paid winger, as Washington already has plenty of those.

TvR is valuable, including him was more about freeing up a spot for Iorio. Maybe if it was a trade that sent Garland elsewhere it would be worth it?

Don't think so, at least not this year. Iorio will be good but from what I've seen from him in preseason, he needs another year in the AHL. TvR's versatility makes me hesitant to move him even if Iorio earns a spot, as I'd feel more confident with whichever rookie that makes the team having someone steady like TvR next to them.
