This really isn't that bad from others I've seen. No one is signing all 3 of those UFAs and having all pf your prospects ready to play next season isn't that plausible.

But this doesn't have trades where they are giving up 3 or more assets for a single player.

Maybe it's because the Habs have such a large fanbase, that there's no way around it: a lot more people will try their hand in trades, while not weighing in all the variables you talk about.

I totally agree with your assessment and how you approach trades.

On this site, I have rarely seen any trade proposal where both sides are in agreement. Sometimes, the 'value' is right, but not really for the needs.

Even in real life NHL trades, I am very often disappointed in trade values; from MY own perspective, it almost always seem as though there is someone winning and someone losing.
