I don't think the Avs budge without Ellis or Eckholm. Emelin is there replacement, albeit a bit of a downgrade.
However, I think either is worth more than Duchene straight up, so we might get Blake Comeau thrown in for our RW issues.
Probably cost a pick, too, just not a 1 or 2.

ekholm is not worth more than duchene straight up lmao. ekholm scored 3 goals last year with 23 points in 82 games. Please explain to me how he is worth more straight up for duchene.

You might be right, but using goals scored to compare a D man to a Forward is like using batting average to compare a Pitcher to a First Baseman. Eckholm plays a position that is greater demand today, and has a much better contract situation. For most teams, he would be a top line D man.
