I think targeting both is redundant with the depth we have. Tanev alone should be enough to boost our D.

Dunno why Toronto fans are so against the Klingberg signing. One of your biggest issues 5v5 was being able to get the puck up the ice when Rielly wasn't on the ice, and you get a primary shooter for PP2.

That being said, that package is enough for one of those guys half retained. You won't get both.

You can also just claim nylander now if you really want him

I would rather have Zadorovs physicality over Klingbergs puck moving ability. But adding Tanev, without removing any of our d is one of my wants.

As for the package, I assume Zadorov is going to get a 2nd (half retained). Tanev will get a 1st (with MAYBE an added 3rd). So I may be a bit short, but not much.

As for Nylander, I only want him for AHL purposes. I want him to clear waivers. If he does I would want him. He can live with his brother. I don't want to claim him now, and then we are forced to have him on our NHL roster.

Tanev is great defensively but isn't overly physical.
Zadorov is the lesser of the 2 dmen but he is huge and physical. I think they both add something different.

But I do agree, adding Tanev to our current group (without losing anyone) would strengthen our D quite a bit.

I just have a feeling Klingberg will be a flop. In that case I would love to have Zadorov.

I would be very happy if I am wrong about Klingberg though.
