I don't think San Jose would have a problem Making this trade but the main issue here is that most likely Jeff Carter won't waive his NMC so this whole deal falls flat on its face, your best bet would be maybe the Flyers but even then idk if Carter is willing to waive cause it's obvious he wants to stay in Pittsburgh for family reasons.

I don't think San Jose is interested in Jeff Carter, and Penguins will never trade a young player like PO Joseph.

Agree re Carter.

But I disagree on Joseph. Look how much better 3rd pair is with POJ scratched. I think dubas would take anything for him at this point, but probably teams don’t even want to give up futures for him. Probably have to waive him

He is going to retire after this year. He is the whipping boy in Pitt and I think could agree to ride off In the sunset playing big minutes. He’s won 2 cups already. He’s playing 4th line and will probably force his way to press box soon anyways.
