Ostlund is the only asset i want there
maybe instead of the goalie and 2nd, its a protected 1st and the habs add a mid round picks
So like Ostlund, 2026 1st (lottery protected) for Matheson, 3rd and 5th
That could also work.

Honestly if you are ditching UPL then as a Nashville fan id take him in that return. Its pretty solid though not sure what Joki does for nashville but id take another young rhd and figure out what to do from there
I'd gladly include UPL in that deal.

If BUF lands Saaros and Devi becomes available, he'd definitely be the player I'd target in a Matheson trade.
Levi would not become available. The idea is to have Saros mentor Devon, could resign Saros to a short extension to help ease the burden on Levi

I'm looking at Lindgren, Strbak, McCarthy, R. Johnson. Any one if them really. Strbak and Lindgren probably force the 2nd into a 4th though.
RyJo I'd be very hesitant to part with. Lindgren could make sense. He's an incredibly gifted skater and very impressive with his escapability.

Even with his hot start in the A, I didn't realize Kulich was that far ahead of Savoie, in the eyes of BUF fans.
I'm less enamoured with Savoie, because I don't see him as a center in the NHL, at his size.
I'd value Kulich more as well. Savoie definitely has the build and skillset of a winger. Savoie's strengths are speed, vision, and compete. Kulich's are shot, playmaking, and clutch. Depends what you value more but looking at the Sabres organization we have numerous forward prospects like Savoie but none like Kulich, at least in my opinion.

He also has champions league games. played vs the best teams in europe there. and theres also a whole season in the swedish 2nd tier. Much higher than the Q
Weighing in with my opinion. Both Ostlund and Roy are offensively potent players. Roy definitely has the better frame, shot, and knack for the net. Ostlund is the better playmaker and plays center which is valued more. Personally I like Roy as a prospect better, but that may be because I have gotten to see him play on the international stage more than I have Ostlund
