Mid Season

Created by: Grit
Team: 2023-24 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 27, 2023
Published: Oct. 27, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Carter LTIR is hoping Dubas convinces him to do what’s best for the team, maybe a skin condition like Hossa or “back pain”. If so frees up some space for a possible trade. Otherwise, he sits unless a lot of bodies go down, even then would call up others if cap allows

I clearly see that you said “any team” in both those proposals, but just keeping consistent: Hawks aren’t giving up picks for players right now.

Good point, I just grabbed a possible dumping ground for a 7th, he probably gets sent to minors

Joseph has far more value than a 7th round pick. That’s insulting.

respectfully disagree..... he is so very soft, doesn't seem to have much of a hockey IQ, Dubas probably won't find any takers--- I think waivers for POJ is a distinct possibility

Respectfully, I think recency bias is clouding your judgement. He had a subpar first couple of games to start the year (as did most of the team) playing with Chad Ruhwedel, who is ideally a 7th defenseman.

Joseph’s rookie year was one of the bright spots on an otherwise disappointing roster last year. During which he played well while playing a lot of 2nd pair minutes, sometimes even first pair with Letang.

He’ll never be overly physical, but I could see him molding into a Marcus Pettersson type of defender with his reach and solid active stick. With our new depth at LD and I could see us moving him this year, but it should be for a decent pick or as a solid piece in a package.
