Takes 8 years of Weeger off your hands which does decrease his value. 4 draft picks and three young and really solid prospects. If Calgary needs to sell (that team ain't sustainable or able to do anything), they'll be selling at a loss to get rid of high AAV long term deals like Weeger.

Weegar has been one of the only players who care so far this season. They need to keep players like that. Him, Zadorov, Coronato and Markstrom are the only players who made opening night roster who seem to care.
