Yea I would much rather keep brodie and instead trade around 2mil and a better pick for Murphy with some type of retention
Also why are we giving up a 1st and top prospect for 1 defenseman who is solid but not that great

Hawks might consider this. Not sure how much interest they'd have in Niemela though. Smallish, offensive minded D men don't seem to fit what the Hawks want for their blue line.
