Leafs decline that flames trade for the 1002nd time

Flames trade makes a ton of sense on both sides especially with Neimela in the pipeline at a lesser cap hit for the foreseeable future. There would probably be small additions of conditions on either side of the deal but at the root of the deal it's a really good thought.

I just don't get the hype around Lily tbh. I personally don't want him in any return for Tanev. I think we get better offers from a team not named the Leafs.

There was a post earlier where a Leafs fan made a really good point that Liljegren fits the Leafs timeline better and Neimala likely fits the Flames better, it was an interesting conversation that really changed my opinion on Liljegren, I agree with you completely.
