Barzal has taken a considerable leap this season. I love Ehlers but I just dont think the value is where it needs to be.

I can't see the Islanders trading Barzal and with him now playing wing, his contract doesn't fit in Winnipeg. The Islanders would also probably be looking for a younger, high end main piece.

Murphy doesn't waive for Winnipeg.

The Islanders just signd Barzal to a big contract, he's a long term part of their plan. Chicago says no. If they wanted to flip Murphy, they could get more from teams who are desperate for right handed d-man (like Vancouver), especially if Chicago retained salary, then a big return is possible.
