Description

Not an Oilers or Predators fan, but I wanted to see what this option would look like.

Lankinen has been playing well in Nashville and currently has a .913 save percentage this year.
Foegele and Ceci don't have any real value for Nashville other than what they can be traded for so I think the 1st round pick is needed to make this trade since Nashville still has a decent chance to make the playoffs.

Drop Foegele, retain 50% on Lankinen, Hamblin to AHL and one other league min or Broberg since he doesn't need waivers. A 1st in 2026 wouldn't be enough either way though, Nashville is looking for a retool and a 1st that far out doesn't check any boxes. The defensive swap I get but Nashville wouldn't have interest in Foegele and with the adjustments above Edmonton can keep him on the roster.
