Lmao way too much for Schneider and Bonino

Kakko will probably be forced to accept his QO of $2.4m

I went higher on purpose, just in case. Better to show what room they have even while slightly "maxed" out.

If those Contracts stay in the more projected range, then even more wiggle room.

With the extra money they could probably bring back Gus, unless another team offers him a lot

I think Gus will be too pricy for the Rangers, but perhaps a better upgrade over Jones.

Jones honestly hasn’t been that bad. Him and Schneider just need Vet partners and not to be paired together

Next year I’d go:
KAM-Fox
Jones-Trouba
Lindgren-Schneider

Im ok with that number for Kakko if its a 3 year or 4 year deal. He hasn't broken out quite like Chytil did so can't give him that deal, and we need to see more production from him overall.
I absolutely do not want to move him though. I think he's definitely a top 6 forward. I think he's great defensively and at a style of game thats perfect for the playoffs, but we need to see more overall production first.

KAM and Fox are the aggressive, Offensive minded Defensemen. They need anchors like Trouba and Lindgren to back them up while they perform. Doesn't work.

That is not true at all lol. In a small sample, KAM and Fox dominate together and fox works well with anyone

It’s actually the opposite. Trouba and Lindgren need puck movers to help them clear the zone better because they’re strictly defensive and not good with the puck

And Jones and Lindgren aren't puck movers.

Having your 2 best Offensive Defenseman together will limit Offensive production. Unless you have them racking up more TOI than the other 2 pairings combined, it's better to spread them out

Lol what are you watching? Jones is an offensive defenseman and a great puck mover. That’s his bread and butter. He’s just super undersized

Zac jones is 2nd of all defensemen on the team in total assist/60 and 3rd in total points/60. 3rd in CF% and 1st in GF and xGF all at even strength lol

He's our 7th Defenseman who gets manhandled often in the Defensive Zone and put up one Primary Assist before getting sat down again. While he definitely looked more comfortable, let's not get carried away with the fancy stats.

Like I said lol he needs a defensive Vet to play with. Let’s not act like Schneider is any better than Jones. But the whole point was that you said Jones isn’t a puck mover which is incorrect

He's bounced in and out of the Lineup for a dozen games or so for each of the last 4 Seasons. I doubt his Defensive partner is to fault for each of those small spurts.

Their Top 4 have been paired accordingly for the last 4 or 5 Seasons. Even with some occasional swapping to experiment a bit, they've predominantly stayed as they are now. If they haven't paired KAM with Fox on a Full Time basis by now, they're not going to.

Jones’ only partners have been Brendan Smith, Hajek, Harpur and Schneider lol not exactly anyone good

Yea that’s fine they don’t need to change the top 4. But to say Jones isn’t good is incorrect. Because then you can say Schneider hasn’t been good until he got a Vet partner (Gus)

I've always thought Schneider has been solid. Certain partners may sway the #'s in either direction, but he's always looked on point no matter who he's with.

I mean yea he’s solid but not great or terrible. Makes some good plays but also makes some stupid mistakes
