Wow, I didn't realize how good the Flyers were on their top 6 C and RW. Might be tough to find Patrick some ice time.

I'm alright if Patrick plays 3rd line C for his first season. 3rd line eases him into the NHL by not having to deal with the other team's top 2 lines game in and game every shift Plus it should allow him to catch up to the speed of the NHL at a good pace, not rushed as if he were on the 1st 2 lines. He'll get his minutes and he could prove himself and move up, but he's young and needs to develop in the NHL and be able to learn from his mistakes/shortcomings. We have plenty of time to watch this kid be our #1/#2 center....now is the time for his adjustment.
