I don't know what's more insane, thinking Ovi will retire or that Carlson with $4M eaten will get you just a 3rd and 5th lol That would easily get you a 1st and a top prospect. Caps also get a 1st+2nd if they are taking on Campbell.

Minnesota doesnt have any need for him and won't trade for players like him with bill Guerin as Gm. Also with Rossi ascension this season and him becoming 1c, they have no room. Rossi is 1c, Eriksson Ek 2c, Freddy G / Hartman are between 3c currently . Minnesota would still not pursue him
