No the Rangers need Schneider more than Mitts hence they would value him more. They extend him 2 years and then he becomes Trouba’s replacement after that

Only way I see it happening is if chytil is forced into early retirement because of concussions. Jokiharju would probably come back to cover losing schneider and picks to make up the differences
