Team: 2023-24 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 10, 2023
Published: Dec. 10, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
- no scoring no defence. The depth is not the problem at this point it is the top six is.
- I'm not panicking, I know as soon as Fil gets back to the lineup the top 9 will be in much better shape, question is when will he?
- obviously I don't want them to lose. But I feel thar they will. They feel tired. Worn out.

Zibanejad has been horrible all season and kreider can't do much unless it's on the pp

Yes five on five I say split them up. We need to spread the load on the top 9 anyway.
I would try Cuylle-Zib-Laffy, bread-Vinny-vesey, kreids-Brodzinski-wheels, goody-bonino-pitlick for starters and they need to go back to playing simple structured hockey.

Probably shouldn't split the bread Vinny laf line as they're the only like who looks decent

Sure I get that. But given the shortage of players how to split up kreids and Mika if not? Any ideas? smile

Idk it's just a struggle when you have 6 4th liners in vesey, bronzinski, wheeler, goody, pitlick and bonino... not much you can do. need kakko and chytil back and some cap space to get better depth

On paper a setup guy like laf should help so called scores like Mika and kreids. On paper at least. Vesey do okay in the past with bread and vinny. But yeah, pretty much such it up from now until Fil comes back.

Why not bring up Othmann for a bit and give him a shot?

I mean I think so, I do not see the harm? But so many NYR fans think they'll ruin his development if they do so? Yeah...

Mika hit post on a wide open net and fed Kreider back side who completely missed the puck. It was just bad luck all around. Panarin with a couple crossbars and Laffy being robbed too

Othmann would only help in the sense of bumping everyone down a spot. But the problem is more that the players aren’t listening to Lavi’s system. Othmann isn’t going to change them from giving up 100 odd man rushes and playing no defense

He definitely needs a whole line shakeup to wake these guys up
Panarin Mika Laffy
Kreider trocheck vesey
Cuylle Brodzinski Wheeler
Pitlick Bonino Goodrow

Miller Fox
Lindgren Trouba
Gus Schneider

They NEED to keep Bonino off the 3rd line. He’s killing any offense from cuylle. Lindgren and Fox have been average which isn’t their best. Trouba and Miller have been getting killed defensively

I hear ya. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. I'm not a fan of the back and forth either. Sometimes there can be exceptions to the rule. Just make it known to him that it's a short stint while FC is injured. Make sure it's more than just 1 or 2 games so he can get a real taste of the NHL, but then send him back down.

Yeah exactly, he plays with an edge so at least he bring that. And to a tired team it can be the boostar needed?

Like I said! They played defense and followed Lavi’s system and they got the win haha. Depth players stepped up tonight (cuylle, vesey and brodzinski)
