Nobody wants Myers and his 6M for a guy with a cool name and a 4th

I don't think a team like the Sharks would care. They're not at the cap ceiling and the actual salary is 1 million. They could even retain %50 and get another pick for Myers potentially.

As you saw with the Zaitzev deal no one is giving away cap space for free. You got him because Calgary did not want to retain. If giving away 2 nothing assets would have dumped Myers, Rutherford and his coffee boy Allvin would have done so already

I'm not sure this gets it done but I'm just saying the cap hit isn't particularly prohibitive especially when we are talking about deadline stuff of expiring contracts. And I don't think the coffee boy would have moved him given he's been in our top 4. If he can replace him absolutely but if not we aren't going to get worse and give up assets.

It ends up being like 3 free assets for the Sharks. They could even send a contract back with a higher actual salary then they end up spending less too.
