the NCAA is a significantly harder league to score in than the OHL. And even if you compare Poitras 95 points last year to Knies 42 there is a huge gap in their actual goal scoring. Poitras only had 16 goals in the OHL last year and had 79 assists. Knies is much more of a goal scorer.


Knies also played on the top line in the ncaa. He was the 3rd best player on his line. Point totals were nothing impressive. Poitras was the best on his team by far

This conversation is a ridiculous waste of time. Knies should be completely untouchable as he is a positive impact player on an ELC for the Leafs roster right now. If you are so hung up on trading your good prospects for mediocre players to improve the now then trade Cowen, Minten, Niemela, etc. None of those guys are helping the Leafs at all this season
