I don't know how many times this Canuck management group needs to say their first round pick isn't in play before people stop using it as ammunition to add a player to this roster.

Plus adding 5 million to next years cap makes it very hard to sign both Hronek and Pettersson and fill out the roster. Remember only Hughes and Soucy are signed beyond this year.

Not saying I don't like Batherson. I think he's a very skilled hockey player but I don't see the fit due to the cap. In fact I don't see the Canucks adding a player of any term until they sign their two impending RFA's.

Ya, Garland had to go to make it work. Kuz can play PP1 and not be pushed into top 6 even strength ice time.

Might have to move Kuz instead. As well as Garland is playing he's got a lot of money left on his deal.
