JT to BOS via FA (Not Serious)

Created by: ON3M4N
Team: 2018-19 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 7, 2017
Published: Jul. 7, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not really serious as Boston has so much money tied up in centers already and guys like McAvoy & Carlo are due for raises after the 2019-2020 season.

Really just felt like doing a fantasy land mock for once to see how it'd come out. Boston has an influx of young talent coming through the system and this would be a lets get Big Z one more cup thing. Its actually a pretty deep team and for those familiar with the Bruins system it'd be an exciting team to watch lol.

I do think the $10 million for JT is realistic (term is probably to short though). He's not worth McDavid money and I don't think he's worth Kane/Toews money.

It's fun to dream sometime smile I'm surprised it was possible to make the JT signing without moving a bigger salary (ie Krejci) than Beleskey.

It works the first year, but year two gets tough when McAvoy, Carlo and JFK all come up for new contracts. If the cap didn't increase either of the next 2 years, Boston has about $12 million in cap space with about 7 spots to fill and between the 3 guys mentioned they'd probably eat up 95% of that cap space. The B's could potentially buyout Krejci the following year and add roughly $4.5 million in cap space for the first two years, but they'd lose about $2.5 million the last two years.
