That would work.
Have you considered signing Fisher from the Preditors to center Vanek and Pominville? If you cannot sign Vanek, then Winnek from the Capitals, or Dwight King from the Canadians? Do not over look our own Gionta. Any 3 of the 5 gives Buffalo real depth and solid 3rd and 4th lines
Vanek, Fisher Pomenville
Pouliot, Larsson Gionta
Or
King, Winnik, Pomenville
Pouliot, Fisherm Larsson

Or someother line combinations. With Vanek or Fisher or both, they could move into the top 6 and not lose too much

I had only thought about the Vanek signing because our left side looks pritty weak right now. Bringing in Fisher and/or Winnik would mean dropping Girgensons, who I'm not really ready to give up on just yet. I didn't even think about Gionta, more from just overlooking it than anything else. I do think if you sign Gionta right now, you will not be seeing any of the forward prospects out of camp this year. Maybe if you do bring in Fisher and/or Winnik you will see Girg playing LW on one of these lines and the change could help him progress.
