Kane's word means nothing. He screwed over Chicago and New York. Detroit will be no different. If he's playing his career out, why did he only sign until the end of this season? And no extension?

He'll retire a Sabre.

laugh He's not signing with the Sabre, He wanted a multi year deal with Detroit. But with his hip injury both he and Yzerman wanted to make sure the hip was fine before extending any longer.
