However the salary cap space for the following years is more important than picks that won't play on the team for at least four years. it is a high cost, but you also get a good goaltender that would hopefully be re-signed for the following year. Oilers don't need a $5M goalie.... That is unless someone like Saros comes available. Cap space is worth loads
