ngl i really like this deal for all teams, assuming NYR have take a fair approach on kakko’s value. the 3rd+4th in itself is nice draft stock, then you get a prospect in aidan mcdonough who has a beauty release. Both NYR and VAN create cap flexibility for another move and van takes a shot with former 2nd ovr pick. Kuzmenko has been tied to CHI recently and with a surplus of picks i dont see why they’re opposed to giving away a 3rd for kuzmenko which would then be flipped to NYR for kakko to VAN. (CHI also need some money on the books)

rangers fans are gonna come at me for have a low valuation of kakko but lets be real here, his only value is that he was the 2nd ovr pick. 2 of 6 goals this year are garbage time goals, he’s getting fair return.
