The point is you're trading a sure thing for someone who is trying to be a sure thing. Dobson is trying to be on the level that marner is on. He's also not winning a norris this year. reply back to me when he gets votes

For one, Isles don't need Marner (a playmaker), they need a goalscorer. Secondly, Dobson should've been a no doubt vote in for ASG this year but Canada/biggest fan bases owns that vote so he didn't get. He's likely 3rd in Norris race right now but I guess he's just not good, average Leafs fan take


Hes good man, I'd even go so far to say hes better than Rielly... but not 3rd in Norris votes. if you wanna call me out for a leafs fan take you gotta look in the mirror and realize you're take is just as bad. The truth is somewhere in the middle...and thats where Marner isnt traded for him

A PPG defenseman who averages 26 min per game is definitely a sure thing lol. He’s been better than Marner this season. He’s a top 5 defenseman right now

smaller sample size though...

absolutely not a sure thing. players can have one good year then regress. you know what you're getting with marner.
