I think Ducks take it to get rid of four years of Gibson at that cap.

Last thing TB needs is a defenseman that doesn't defend. Raddysh is fine on PP2.

Ducks get solid replacements for the next two years and a prospect and get rid of 6.4 million for the final two years. They could also flip Fabbri and Berggren for draft picks

Got to imagine that Anaheim is looking for some draft capital, but it’s not so far off

Both proposals seem very reasonable for both sides from outsiders perspective. Can see them wanting a more responsible dman but still reasonable

We get a 2024 1st and a good prospect if we trade Frank man

Gibson’s cap hit doesn’t affect us because we are just fine — if someone wants him, they can pay us something we want for him not scraps to get rid of him

So by that logic, you'd be happy to get rid of DeBrincat's $7.875 million for three seasons?

If we want draft picks for Frankie Vatrano or John Gibson, we'll acquire them directly.

The whole idea of a team acquiring a player in order to pass him on elsewhere is just so counter-intuitive and unrealistic.
